The Teddy Bear Hospital is a unique, educational program created and run by volunteer Monash University medical students.
It aims to familiarise children to health care environments and medical treatments in a fun and interactive way!
By creating a positive interaction between the child and the ‘Teddy Doctor’, the Teddy Bear Hospital helps to overcome the fear and anxiety children often feel towards hospitals and doctors.
At the same time, Teddy Bear Hospital also helps to educate children and promote healthy lifestyle behaviours including healthy eating, exercise and good sleep.
On the day, children will take part in a pretend medical consultation where they (acting as the doting parents) bring their beloved teddy bear or soft toy to the Teddy Bear Hospital for a check-up!
