NOVO gives you the chance to have your voice and ideas heard and contribute to making changes to help local youth.
With a direct link to the Swan Hill Rural City Council, NOVO ensures the views of our local young people are conveyed and brought to the forefront.
NOVO meets every Tuesday from 3.30pm – 5pm at YouthInc.
NOVO Youth Council Awards
Every two years NOVO Youth Council organises and hosts the Youth Council Awards. These awards are a chance to highlight the positive contributions young people make to the Swan Hill municipality and for local young people to be recognised for their outstanding achievements.
Youth can be nominated in the following four categories:
- Young Achiever
- Young Leader
- Young Neighbour
- Young Performer
- Young Scholar
- Young Sportsperson
- Young Visual Artist
- NOVO Group Award
Winners received a cash prize and the chance to take part in training or leadership development.

Do you Skate, Scoot or ride BMX?
Do you DJ or play in a band?
Do you want to create events for the youth of Swan Hill?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then the FReeZA committee is for you!
FReeZA is an innovative youth development program providing young people with the chance to attend affordable and safe music and cultural events. FReeZA attracts over 140,000 young people each year to events that take place in a fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke-free venues across Victoria.
As a member of the FReeZA committee you will not only help organise events, but also have the chance to create events of your own. You will be involved in everything from selecting and booking venues, media and promotion, entertainment and more! You will also have access to leadership training and career development workshops.
